CRICCIETH,
"The Black Pearl on the shores of Snowdonia" is a
small, picturesque and historic town well known for its castle, safe
beaches, speciality restaurants, varied types of holiday accommodation,
easy access to and from Snowdonia and for its wide range of Fine
Art, Craft, Antiques, Collectables, Books, Memorabilia and, of course,
flowers.
Flowers
play an important role in Criccieth. Last Year the town achieved 4th
place in the Wales "Villages in Bloom" competition and this
year the Criccieth in Bloom committee hope for even bigger and better
results so you will find that the majority of shops, hotels and public
houses have a fine display of flowers outside to brighten up the town.

TRAINS
Criccieth Station is on the Cambrian Coast Line running between Pwllheli
and Machynlleth with connections to Shrewsbury, The Midlands and London.
BUSES.
There are regular services to Criccieth from Blaenau Festiniog,
Porthmadog, Pwllheli, Caernarfon & Bangor and Daily Coach Services
to Cardiff, London and Birmingham.
ACCESS.
Some parts of the town are
quite steep and unaided wheelchair users will find access is difficult
at some of the venues in this leaflet. It is suggested you telephone
venues for details and advice.
The

CRICCIETH
is situated on the South Coast of the Lleyn Peninsula on the A497 about
halfway between Porthmadog and Pwllheli.
PARKING.
There are two Pay and display Car Parks with ample room and free
parking in other areas. |

The
Criccieth Arts Association hosts the popular Criccieth Festival every
June. The varied programme caters for tastes as diverse as folk and
Jazz, Choirs and Opera, and is held at various venues through the town.
